Chief of Staff

As the Ninety organization continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Chief of Staff who will serve as a partner and leverager to our Visionary (CEO) and Senior Leadership Team.

The right candidate will be able to increase the velocity of the Visionary and allow him to direct his focus while keeping him accountable to commitments and communication. While the Chief of Staff will not have direct reports he/she must exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization.

As a strategist, consultant, and implementer, you will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the Visionary. This is a service role that is highly personalized to the needs of the Visionary and the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead through influence.   

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience in a startup environment supporting Senior Leadership and working with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in, or are excited to work in an early-stage environment
  • High follow-through and organizational skills with ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated
  • demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between the Visionary and other constituencies, both internal and external.
  • Executive project oversight: Acts on the authority of the Visionary to oversee strategic projects with a focus on initiatives affecting the value chain that require cross-functional knowledge. 
  • Facilitates the process of project solicitation, selection, prioritization, implementation, and monitoring. 
  • Ad-hoc analysis and decision support
  • Disseminates information and communicates ideas on behalf of the Visionary where appropriate
  • Creating and maintaining scorecards 
  • Maintains the Strategic Plan and facilitates the annual planning process 
  • Operates a reporting system and dashboard 
  • Oversees the issues list and maintains a method of capturing, cataloging, analyzing, and disseminating key lessons and resources 
  • Troubleshooting and creative scale-orientated solutions 
  • Information gathering and analysis 
  • Idea synthesis and ability to discern systemic issues
  • Presentation creation 
  • Logistics for leadership team meetings 
  • Facilitating and taking minutes on key leadership team and visionary meetings 
  • Coordination/Scheduling 
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly planning

What Success Looks Like:

  • Support and administrative staff in place
  • Four companywide cross-departmental projects completed per year 
  • Visionary able to delegate and elevate 10 hours of work 
  • An additional day of time per week for Visionary to be able to focus on issues
  • Overall on-time rock and to-do completion increased for the leadership team 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management and client management experience
  • 5+ years of relevant management/executive level experience
  • A multi-facetted body of work and case studies to draw upon 
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
  • Demonstrated background working strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • High regard for ethics and diplomacy 
  • Discerning ability to recognize salient business issues that “move the needle” 
  • Finely honed communication skills

Executive Assistant

As the Ninety organization continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on an Executive Assistant who will be the supportive force that empowers our senior leadership. The ideal person for the job will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will have previous experience working in a remote environment, performing administrative duties, and providing support to C-level leaders. 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience and comfort with working remotely and on-site
  • Experience supporting more than one executive 
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment 
  • A high degree of organizational ability with regard for deadlines
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
  • Professional level verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with Zoom, Google Workspace, Linkedin, Slack, and the ability to quickly and effectively learn other technologies is highly preferred

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact among leaders, employees, clients, and other external partners
  • Manage leaders’ calendars and set up meetings via Zoom
  • Coordinate communications, materials and logistics for meetings, client coaching sessions, and events
  • Coordinate travel logistics
  • Manage email, Slack, and Linkedin for the CEO
  • Plan and orchestrate work to ensure the senior leaders’ priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with document completion via DocuSign
  • Physical set up of session rooms and session logistics 

What Success Looks Like:

  • Leaders’ commitments are met and their schedules are balanced to avoid over-booking and allow for clarity breaks
  • Ability to be assertive and offer guidance to keep leaders’ objectives on track
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with clients and ongoing relationship management 
  • Ability to take initiative and exhibit effective decision-making ability 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-level leaders 
  • Previous startup experience 
  • Experience supporting founders at an organization of fewer than 100 employees 
  • Willing to work in office on session days to prepare rooms

Nice to have

  • EOS knowledge 
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks

Senior Full Stack Engineer

As the Ninety organization continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will be a key member of our growing technology team. We are looking for someone who is well versed in best in class technology solutions and can architect, refine, and help lay the foundation for robust technology solutions.

The Role:

  • Working with your team to build features out across the entire tech stack (Angular 12+/Node.js/MongoDB)
  • Architect and building solutions using well-structured, reusable code
  • Engaging with Ninety end-users to learn ways to continuously “wow” them and improve their Ninety experience
  • Being self-driven, and independently minded enough to completely own delivering high-impact features to the Ninety product 

The Person:

  • Prior experience building end-to-end features across a modern Javascript technology stack
  • Strong understanding of single page, frontend applications (SPAs)
  • Experience building robust APIs that drive frontend technologies
  • Understanding of database technologies and experience building data models
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented problem solver eager to grow as engineer while helping others grow around them
